We are pleased to share the 4rd edition of our ProtectFish project’s newsletter, highlighting the project’s progress and achievements over the past six months.
Over the past 18 months, ProtectFish has made solid progress in advancing knowledge on interactions between fish populations, habitats, and predator dynamics. Our consortium has delivered robust (preliminary) scientific results while strengthening engagement with stakeholders across Europe—an essential element for developing practical solutions.
This newsletter’s edition reflects both continuity and progress. From our recent General Assembly in Vienna to the successful project review with the European Commission, ProtectFish is entering a new phase focused on consolidating results and translating research into management tools.
Looking ahead, we will further integrate scientific findings with policy and stakeholder perspectives to support evidence-based decision-making at all levels.
I hope you find this edition insightful. Thank you for your continued interest and support.
Warm regards,
Kim Birnie-Gauvin, ProtectFish Project Coordinator
