We are pleased to share the 2nd edition of our project newsletter, showcasing the work made since our previous update in November 2024!
Over the past months, the consortium has been actively engaged in both technical work and stakeholder outreach. While we have encountered some obstacles along the way, most of those challenges have been successfully overcome, allowing us to maintain strong momentum in the delivery of our research objectives.
A key highlight of this first ProtectFish year was our first Stakeholder Conference held in Koblenz, which brought together diverse local actors to bridge the gap between fish and bird conservationists by fostering science-based dialogue and collaborative approaches. The ProtectFish partners also held their General Assembly in May, during which members of our External Advisory Board joined the discussion and provided valuable strategic guidance.
We hope you find this update informative and invite you to stay engaged as we swim ahead into the next phase of our efforts to protect riverine fish populations.
